Kotor is small coastal town in Montenegro. I would consider it to be a “less travelled destination” but I can see it becoming a bucket-list city in the near future. You can experience the city’s rich culture in half the budget of a major tourist city. The city is vibrant with a mountainous landscape and minutes away from the nearest beach.
Another feature of visiting Kotor is that it is in close proximity to one of Croatia’s major tourist destinations, Dubrovnik. It is a breathtaking two hour drive along the coastline to get to Dubrovnik, Croatia.
